英國普利茅斯大學平面設計系畢業。插畫家、愛樂人、 攝影迷。繪有《帝國末日的山水畫：老殘遊記》、《李白：長安有個醉詩仙》、《風島飛起來了》、《我愛藍樹林》、《紅瓦房》，以及英譯本《橘子紅了》等書。2013年獲英國《Becoming a Successful Illustrator》一書介紹，同年並以「Great Wall」系列入選美國IPA國際攝影獎。 身為山腳下長大的小孩，其筆鋒追求自然靈性之美，從最初的風島到近期的經典文學系列，畫裡總有著回憶的味道。近來亦嘗試與建築家、音樂家、詩人跨界合作，呈現多樣的創作風貌。
Daniel Hsieh graduated from the University of Plymouth with a degree in Graphic Design. His name was mentioned in Becoming a Successful Illustrator and was nominated for the IPA International Photography Award. His illustrations include Secrets on the Roof, and Into Brother’s Mountain.
