1973年出生於台北，台灣大學土木研究所畢業。1995年參加「陳璐茜手制繪本教室」後開始創作繪本，現為「圖畫書俱樂部」成員。曾獲金鼎獎、信誼幼兒文學獎、「好書大家讀」年度最佳少年兒童讀物獎、文化部中小學生優良課外讀物推介、《中國時報》「開卷好書獎」年度最佳童書、陳伯吹國際兒童文學獎、上海好童書獎，並曾兩度入選義大利波隆那插畫展，主要作品有《車票去哪裡了？》等。
Born in Taipei, Hsu-Kung Liu studied Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University. After taking picture book making classes in 1995, he embarked on his career as an illustrator. He has won many awards, including the Golden Tripod Awards, the Hsin-Yi Children Literature Award, the Good Books for Everyone Award Best Children’s Books of the Year, China Times Open Book Award Best Children’s Books of the Year, Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award, and the Shanghai Good Children's Book Award. His works were twice selected by Bologna Illustrators Exhibition( 2015, 2017). One of his most popular books is Where are the tickets?
