1962年出生在海角窮荒的金門縣境，1987年來臺謀生，喜歡爬爬山、看看電影、下下廚房、逗逗小孩。國立藝專畢業，曾在廣告公司擔任企劃，達十多年之久。2007年，因為一個偶然的際遇，讓他體認到臺灣這塊土地上的一切，竟是如此美好。於是，他開始從事繪本創作，已出版：《那魯》、《勇12：戰鴿的故事》、《雄獅堡最後的衛兵》、《紋山：中橫的故事》、《拐杖狗》、《鄭和下西洋的祕密》、《最後的戰象：大兵林旺三部曲》等繪本，多次獲得金鼎獎、「好書大家讀」年度最佳少年兒童讀物獎等獎項。希望將自己所見、所聽、所聞、所感知一切的美好，能夠和每個孩子一起分享。

Born in 1962, Ru-Qing Lee did not make it to the main island of Taiwan until 1987. He likes to hike, watch movies, cook, and play with children. Lee is a graduate of National Taiwan University of Arts, and once worked in marketing at an advertising firm. In 2007, Lee suddenly realized how beautiful the people and the things he encountered on this piece of land were, and wished to share what she saw, what he heard, what he felt with children. He has received the Golden Tripod Awards multiple times, as well as the Good Books for Everyone Award Best Children’s Books of the Year, and the Feng Zikai Chinese Children's Picture Book Award, among others. His most important works include The Story of a War Pigeon, The Story of the Cross-Island Highway and The Last Soldier at Lion Castle.
