Hsiao-Chen Lay was born in Taichung, and went to Northern Taiwan for college. She’s lived in Scotland and New Zealand, and has returned to her hometown of Taichung to concentrate on being a children's book writer. After writing for more than 20 years, she now focuses more on quality than on quantity. She hopes that readers of all ages can gain courage and strength from her books.
Lay is a two-time Golden Tripod Awards recipient, for Little Monkey Finds Friends in 2012 and for Little Black Goat Goes to School in 2016. She also received China Times Open Book Award Best Children’s Books of the Year twice, in 2010 and 2011, the Chiuko Modern Children’s Literature Award, the Mandarin Daily News Reed Pipe Awards and the Good Books for Everyone Award Best Children’s Books of the Year, among others.
BO2 was born in 1968, and graduated from Fu-Hsin Arts and Trade School. He is the creator of the "Strange Village" product line, and has published many picture books. He is now a dedicated picture book writer as well as a teacher of computer graphics. His unique sense of humor has captured the attention of thousands of children. His publications include Snacks School, School of No Idleness, and Fairy Island School.
